simple use of the sorter also thanks to the automatic control of all the functions, such as self-diagnosis and self-calibration.
The XP embedded graphic interface also ensures easy connection to company networks and remote assistance systems.
Thanks to the new user-friendly technologies, it is possible to create the back up of the operating software and easily save the data on any support.

The detection system: The optical systems of the "Pixel" series enable
resolutions of up to 2 tenths of a millimetre with a speed of the product to be inspected which can reach 4 m/s. The definition of the optical system combined with the quality of the hardware that analyses the signal produced by the CCD, makes it possible to obtain a signal/noise ratio never achieved before.
The optical system of the “Pixel” series enables extreme flexibility in the processing of images including the possibility to establish the degree of defect to reject by intervening on the intensity of the colour or its dimensions.

Automatic cleaning system:
In designing the mechanics of the “Pixel” models, special attention is paid to preventing leaks or accumulations of product, guaranteeing the utmost hygiene. Automatic cleaning system: SELEKTA sorters are featured by an automatic cleaning system inside the sealed optical box. A brush activated by a piston cleans the glass that protects the optical sensors: the continuous proper functioning of the machine is thus guaranteed.

Since 1968 we have been producing optical sorters in monochrome, bichrome and trichrome, IR and UV versions applied successfully in the food, seed, grain and plastics sectors. The Pixel series is the result of extensive research aimed at placing our finest skills at the service of our clientele. The Pixel series offers better efficiency and production capacity with rejects kept to the minimum, even lower production costs than previous models and the most extensive possibility to customise use.

Inserted in the loading hopper (1), the product to be sorted moves along the vibrating plate (2) until it reaches a sloping chute (3). At the exit from the chute,
the product is checked, individually, by state-of-the-art CCD cameras (4).
Depending on the signals received by the optical system, the management
software controls the pneumatic device (5) which physically divides the product
to be rejected from that recognised as “conformant” which, following the fall
flow, naturally reaches the discharging hopper (6).
The products to be rejected are deviated by a jet of compressed air emitted by
the corresponding solenoid and aimed towards the rejects discharging hopper
situated on the front of the sorter (7).
In the version with automatic resorting, the sorted product or the reject of the
previous section is conveyed to another section of the same machine to undergo
an identical process. Automatic re-pass
"Pixel" sorters can be divided into independent sections to adapt to any production requirement. This offers the utmost flexibility in managing the production cycle and simultaneous resorting. The first section is used for input product sorting in order to get the sorted product on one side and the rejected product on the other; this latter is composed of unwanted particles and some "good" product. Should the input product contain a high contamination rate, the second section of the machine can be used for an additional run of the product already sorted in the first section. The second section can also be used to recover the good product rejected together with the impurities of the first section.
