Commissioning of n.1 Optical Color Sorter model “SELEKTA 5” at Molinos De Costa Rica.

The put into function of one Optical Sorter model “SELEKTA 5” has been completed at MOLINOS DE COSTA RICA S.A. in Alajuela.
The sorter has been installed directly on “B1”, and on the entire flow of durum wheat; the use of the SEA machine has enabled the removal of the defective grains (mottled grains, shriveled grains, e.g.) and of the residual foreign seeds.
The insert of the machine in the processing line has been requested by the property (that also owns the pasta factory nearby) that wants to produce the best quality semolina. The results have been immediate and visible in the pasta produced that is mainly exported to USA. The Mill has also taken vantages in terms of yield. In fact, thanks the controls on the B1 by using the “SELEKTA 5” Colour Sorter, the Mill has reduced the total rejects by discarding less product during the cleaning phase
